About Ellie
Hi there, I'm Ellie Chen, a graphic designer from China, currently based in Seattle. Before I started learning design at 24, I obtained a B.A. in English Literature and an M.S. in marketing communications. To some extent, I was following the path that had been set before me. However, all these years of learning have gradually imbued me with a strong desire to seek a compelling purpose beyond merely jumping on the bandwagon. It is design that gives me the privilege to not only express my independent perspective, but also create meaning and ascribe value to the world we live in.
I believe in the power of visual communications and continue to hone my design skills to deliver compelling ideas through a well-rounded research process. My experiences in marketing also allow me to excel at connecting design strategies with consumer insights and building strong brands. Beyond my professional aspiration, I am a bibliophile of fairy-tale stories and a classical cello and piano player.
