A book redesign project featuring
the beauty and the tranquility
of high-end Japanese hotels and
hot springs for travel enthusiasts.
This is a book redesign project that investigates ways to communicate content and meaning of given text. The objective is to experiment with layout and turn the originally poor design into a well-formed typographic composition that expresses the idea and the style of the chosen book.
I chose a book about Japanese inns and hot springs and redesigned it in a way that illustrates a slow-paced tour guide with a focus on the detail and quality of cultural experience. The target audience of my project are travel enthusiasts who have enough time and budget to expand their interests and explore different ways of living during their trips.
